Kings Dominion

The guys in the office won an incentive to go to Kings Dominion on Saturday.  It is in Virginia about 2 1/2 hours away.  We had so much fun spending time with our friends and hanging out as a family.  Ben is still talking about the ride called, The Intimidator.  Me and Remii were the first to go on it.  I'm not sure why I did because one of the wives just rode it and blacked out.  It is that fast.  So I went out and I blacked out for a second.  Seriously.  How is this ride legal?  I guess too many people were blacking out last year that they put some breaks on it.  Still insanely fast.  So of course the guys loved it.  Remii wanted to take Ben on it.  I was dumb to let him.  Ben blacked out.  Remii said he was screaming and then got quiet for a minute, and then started screaming again.  Oh geez.  One of his friends said, what doesn't kill ya makes you stronger?  Well I don't want to risk my children's lives to make them stronger.  Haha  Anyways.  It was a great time!  And when it started getting too hot, we cooled off at the water park.  Such a fun day!

NC Natural History Museum

We went to the North Carolina Natural History museum today.  This museum was so cool!  The best natural history museum we have been to!  We have made friends with one of the wives that is also out here and we spent our Saturday there with them.  She has 3 of the cutest little boys, and another boy on the way!  Our boys love playing with them and it is so fun to have someone to hang out with.  The museum was so big that we only got to explore the first 2 floors.  Our boys were sad to leave but we will be going there every week.  And the best part about it.... it's FREE!!

Running

I run for many reasons, but most of all because it is good for me.  Running is so peaceful to me.  I feel like it gives me a time when I can think and be stress free.  I love running in North Carolina because it is so beautiful here.  We live in such a nice area right next to a golf course and country club.  I dream about having the homes that are in this area.  The runs are challenging because of the hills, but in the end it is worth it.  Here is just an example of my run this morning and how beautiful it is!

Fun in the Sun!

Our second home is the pool.  Seriously we love it.  We went there twice on Saturday and could hang out all day.  The last time we were there, our friend Corinne brought her nice camera.  She is a photographer and she is taking our family pictures on the beach!  I am so excited for that!  Here are some fun pics at the pool.

  

A Fun Filled Weekend

This weekend was a blast!  And everyone that was involved in it made it so much fun.  We started our weekend out with a camping trip with the group.  Ben and Luke loved it.  Luke is our little pyro and spent most of the time gathering sticks and throwing them into the fire.   We had delicious foil dinners and roasted marshmallows over the fire!

The next morning we packed up, and headed straight for the beach!  It was such a perfect day!  I love living so close to the beach.  Just laying out on the beach is heaven to me!  Ben loved the beach.  Luke didn't really like the waves too much but loved hanging out and playing and getting buried in the sand.  We put sunscreen on Ben twice and he got fried!!  We all got fried, including Remii.  I came straight home and ordered Ben a swim shirt.  Poor thing!
