Meet the boys

I was pretty nervous about Remii meeting my boys. I hadn't let anyone meet my boys in the last two years of dating and have been pretty protective of them. I knew Remii was here to stay and so it was time for him to meet my boys. Everything came so natural and things have gone way better than expected. He is so good with them and such a great example in their lives. And of course I knew that they would love him! We went to Lagoon on Friday and had such a blast. We took a lot of fun pictures, but the camera slipped out of my pocket on the ride wicked. I know I should not ever be trusted with a camera again. We had Ben's baptism pictures on Monday and Remii helped out with Luke. He took these pictures of Luke while Ben was getting his.

Carthage Jail and Nauvoo Temple

On our way out of Chicago we wanted to stop at the Carthage jail and the Nauvoo temple. The carthage jail was such a neat experience and the spirit was so strong. They made so many sacrifices to restore the gospel so we can have the blessing of it in our lives today.
This is the door that the bullet went through and killed Hyrum Smith.
32 hours later we arrived home to Utah. The trip brought us so close together and we had a lot of talking that we did. I am so happy to have him home!!

Chicago!!

Our first stop was at the Cedar Point amusement park. Its the rollercoaster capitol of the world. Lets just say it put Lagoon to shame!

We left Cedar Point and rolled into Chicago at 3:30 in the morning. I got to meet his parents. It all made sense to me why Remii is such a great guy. He comes from amazing parents. I felt apart of his family right away. The next day we got to spend the day with them in the city. We had so much fun. We started it off right by going to Giordanio's. It was so yummy!!

This was Remii's mom. She was so fun to be around and was always making me laugh. I had so much fun getting to know her. I already miss them! It makes me sad that they live so far away!

We visited the Chicago temple while we were there. It was about the size of one of our stake centers in Utah, but still so beautiful.
